Microsoft gives Arkane Lyon another month as closure talks continue

Arkane Lyon, the studio behind Marvel’s Blade, is still fighting for its future, and Microsoft has bought it more time. Responding to PC Gamer, the company confirmed that the consultation period now runs another month while it explores alternatives, including a partner that could support the remaining development work.

The response came in a 23 October report that cited Le Monde on the French studio’s 217 staff. Documents quoted in that report outline a possible halt to operations and collective redundancies, but Microsoft stressed they are part of a legally required consultation, not a final decision.

Nothing here confirms a closure or the cancellation of Marvel’s Blade. The 13 November date carried by the original report also predates the extension, so it should not be read as the new deadline. For now the partner search is the detail that decides what happens next.
