Switch 2 dumps begin with Mario Kart World, but play is far off

Files from Nintendo Switch 2 games have started to surface days after a public jailbreak for the console. VideoCardz reported on 25 October that a 3D model of Princess Peach taken from Mario Kart World leads the haul, credited to misshexa66 and the Switch2Hacks community, next to data said to come from Deltarune and The Duskbloods.

The Deltarune material covers the Chapters 1 to 4 release and includes differential patches, so screenshots on their own do not prove a complete copy of that game. A full playable dump of a retail Switch 2 title has not been independently verified.

Developer hexkyz, cited in the report, explains that the ns2jb exploit reaches game files and ordinary system modules but cannot extract the console’s encryption keys or provide kernel execution. Pulling data out of a game is not the same as producing an image that installs and runs elsewhere, and no public method yet plays Switch 2 titles on a PC.

Nintendo has pulled SmileBASIC 4, the eShop title that served as the original entry point, while hackers test a WebKit alternative. The jailbreak runs on firmware 23.0.1 and has to be applied again after every reboot, so for most owners the practical result is curiosity rather than access.
