iPhone Duo, Apple’s first foldable iPhone, moved from pre-order listings to the shop floor on Friday 23 October, reaching Apple Store locations and the first buyers. Apple confirmed the sale start and the in-store demonstrations in a newsroom post, so the story this time is real availability rather than another design reveal.

What the Apple Store launch actually changes
Launch-day photos came from Austin, New York, London, Mumbai and Shanghai, where staff walked visitors through the hinge and the folding display. Buyers can also book personal setup and data transfer to the new device, alongside Today at Apple sessions covering iOS 27 features built for the foldable screen.
Apple says the phone can be bought in its stores, on its website and through the Apple Store app. The launch post does not break pricing or stock down by market, so a simultaneous global start does not guarantee immediate delivery of every new order, particularly after earlier reports of shipping delays. Instalment and trade-in terms still depend on local offers.
